Iridology (also known as iridodiagnosis or iridiagnosis) is an alternative medicine technique that allows me to observe patterns, colors, and other characteristics of the iris can be examined to determine information about a patient's systemic health. I then match my observations to iris charts, which divide the iris into zones that correspond to specific parts of the human body. The eyes really are "windows" into the body's state of health.

I use the charts to distinguish between healthy systems and organs in the body and those that are overactive, inflamed, or distressed. I will point out areas of susceptibility towards certain illnesses, areas that reflect past medical problems, or that you want nurture so no future problems arise. I also connect the emotional aspects that go along with each physical weakness.  If I see an area of concern in the liver, I not only tell you to strengthen that organ, but I will discuss emotions of anger that may be associated with the weakness.

The features of the iris are one of the most stable features on the human body throughout life. Some areas may change in color depth or overall whiteness, but the overall look of the eye generally stays the same.
